What was the remark produced by President Obama?
President Obama put into words his feelings on terrorist attacks, such as the September 11th attack. President Obama was quoted by Bob Woodward in his book, “Obama Wars,” saying:
We can absorb a terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, the biggest attack ever… we absorbed it and we are stronger.”
This small statement was enough to set off even Liz Cheney, daughter of Dick Cheney.
Now for Cheney’s announcement
The terror attack statement made by President Obama made Liz Cheney really angry. The way she viewed it, Obama said evidently that he did not plan on using all of his power and resources to protect America. She called for an explanation from Obama about this.
CBS News reports her saying:
Americans expect our President to…use everyeach tool at his disposal to find, defeat, capture and kill terrorists. We expect him to…make it clear to our adversaries that an attack on the United States will carry devastating consequences. Instead, President Obama is reported to have said, ‘We can absorb a terrorist attack.’ This comment suggests an alarming fatalism on the part of President Obama… The President owes the American people an explanation.
A conclusion is needed by more individuals
The Obama terror attack statement is raising a couple of heads. People would like an explanation. The question on Bilal’s mind of 12 News is why the president would ever say something like that at all. He was an additional one concerned about what exactly was said. He wanted to know why the president would not be doing anything he can to protect America. You will find also individuals just wondering why Obama would make that statement. It appears like he is trying to make The United States the center of a terrorist attack. Mitch Marconi thinks that most are overreacting with Cheney as they like to criticize the Obama administration. An explanation will be expected soon from Obama no matter which is true.
