A recent terrorist warning and travel caution was issued on Sunday, Oct. 3 by the American govt. Americans citizens traveling to Europe are warned to be cautious of possible terror threats. The United Kingdom and Japan also issued similar cautions to their citizens. The cautions were issued after a possible Al Qaeda plot was disclosed. The trail of the possible plot leads to Germany. The risk has been treated with skepticism by the German government. Post resource – Traveling to Europe warned against in terror alert by Personal Money Store.
American warning results in Japan terror alert
The govt in Japan gave a terror warning. This was given to all citizens abroad and going abroad at the time. Those from Japan traveling to Europe were told to take caution. the warning suggests caution in public. This is for everyone going abroad for holiday or even for business. The warning stresses being careful while using public transport and while sightseeing in popular tourist locations, according to the Christian Science Monitor. The Japan terror alert was issued a day following the United States State Department given a comparable caution. A U.K. terror alert was also issued following the announcement from Washington. There hasn’t been any info from the C.I.A. yet.
Chance of Germany currently being the origin of the danger
The Al Qaeda plot for terrorist attacks in Europe first began with the arrest of a man. Cable News Network accounts that this man was a German citizen. In 2009, Ahmed Sidiqi left Pakistan with 10 others. That was when a jihadist group recruited them. Sidiqi was captured as they fought coalition forces in Afghanistan. Sidiqi decided to convert to Shia from Sunni. He attended, in Hamburg, the Taiba mosque. That’s where the group recruited. Mohammed Atta was known to go to the Taiba mosque. Atta was the leader in charge of the 9/11 attacks that happened.
Danger level
Three governments have already issued warnings of caution. This makes the threats seem more serious than before. It seems like the German intelligence services aren’t so sure. They seem skeptical of the whole thing. The German government has said it is entirely safe to go to some places. Two of these places are Stuttgart and Hamburg.
